Good morning! As you know, I’m no longer posting on melinmac cooks. I repeatedly had technical issues with the hosting platform (bluehost) and compatibility issues with the various plug-ins that I was using (and paying for!). And then there was the fact that I was getting a bit tired of it – I had pretty much documented all of our regular fare. Then Ron got high cholesterol numbers and he’s trying to address it by modifying his diet, which has to be good for both of us.
It was just time. I’ve moved all of the melinmac cooks content over to google docs, and I’m still testing and retesting recipes and taking pictures. So you if want a recipe, just let me know!
Which bring me to why I’m posting today. I’m currently working on two new blogs. Both of them are written in WordPress AND hosted by WordPress, so from a technical perspective, I’m not as challenged. Please check out these blogs, and subscribe if you’re interested:
Ashford Pollinator Pathway –
I’m on the steering committee of the local Ashford Pollinator Pathway, and I’ve taken over webmaster duties for our new website. I learned a lot when I was working on melinmac cooks, so this project has been quite fun. Our organization is very active in the community, advocating for planting native plants in support of pollinators, with the end goal of habitat restoration and increased biodiversity. The three of us on the committee are all avid gardeners who are passionate about our mission – check out our site if you’re interested in what we’re doing.
melinmac’s days –
This is my new personal blog – it’s a scrapbook of pictures of our excursions and gatherings. And of course there’s food – there’s always food! I’m really enjoying capturing these moments and organizing them so that I can relive the experiences. I’m no longer posting on facebook, so this blog has become a substitute for that in a way.
